DENVER, Colo. – The No. 12 team in Division II came out strong against the University of Colorado Colorado Springs volleyball team Saturday afternoon, handing the Mountain Lions a 3-0 setback. UCCS fell to the Rangers at Regis Fieldhouse, 8-25, 19-25 and 12-25.
The Mountain Lions (9-12, 7-6 RMAC) were held to a .090 hitting mark and only 27 kills and 39 points. The Rangers hit an astounding .500 behind 44 kills, five service aces and six blocks.
Grace Nelson shined for the Mountain Lions with 13 kills and a .400 hitting mark.

Raelynn Edge posted all 25 of the Mountain Lion assists with Ettel accounting for 14.
Taylor Smith served up both aces for UCCS while adding four digs.
The Rangers (18-3, 12-1 RMAC) committed only six attack errors on 76 attempts.
Caitlyn Burroway and Silvia Basso led the Rangers with 11 kills and 38 assists, respectively.
UCCS will return to Gallogly Events Center on Nov. 1 to play host to MSU Denver at 7 p.m., and Chadron State College on Nov. 2 at 5 p.m.
