ST. GEORGE, Utah – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs volleyball team fell in four sets Friday night at Dixie State University (19-25, 13-25, 25-19, 15-25). The loss evens the Mountain Lions record in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matches, 4-4, while they move to 6-10 on the season.
Grace Nelson led UCCS with 12 kills while hitting .135 at the net.
Hannah Ammerman was solid at the net, putting down seven kills and committing only two errors.
Lauren Brown returned to the lineup and was a presence at the net defensively with five assisted blocks and one solo block to go with her five kills.
Raelynn Edge and
Emily Ettel split time between setting duties, combining for 37 of the Mountain Lions 38 assists.
Jordyn Kinsey tallied 18 digs while Edge and
Lauryn Shockley pooled together for 17 digs.
The Trailblazers (11-5, 6-2 RMAC) were led by Megan Treanor's 13 kills.
UCCS will head to Salt Lake City to take on Westminster College on Saturday at 4 p.m.
