CSM enters the week 10-2 overall and a conference record of 3-1. The Orediggers are nationally ranked #23 in the country. Abby Tiesman is a dominant player for the Orrediggers with a .423 hitting percentage and 46 of the teams 72 blocks.

SDSM plays UCCS with an overall record of 6-7 and a conference record of 2-2. Anna Thomas and Shyann Bastian are a killer duo on defense with a combined 412 digs.

The Yellow Jackets start their weekend with a 5-7 overall record and 3-1 RMAC record. Last weekend senior Laurel Lech recorded her first career triple-double with 31 assists, 10 kills, and 10 digs. Hayden Rhoades also promises to be a challenge on defense averaging 4.53 digs per set.

Raelynn Edge is close to taking No. 6 on the team's all-time record for assists alloting 2,307 after gaining 49 assists over the weekend.

The team hit a season-high 14 aces with Edge accounting for five and Lauren Brown asserting another four.

Grace Nelson had a strong weekend with a total of 20 kills and just five errors ending with a .384 hitting percentage. Nelson also added two solo blocks to her stats against the Skyhawks.

UCCS Under Head Coach Chrissy Elder

Chrissy Elder is in her seventh season as Head Coach of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs volleyball program. In her first six seasons, Elder has led the Mountain Lions to the RMAC Tournament every year, and has coached 19 all-conference and 28 academic all-conference performers.

Elder came to UCCS from the University of Central Missouri where she was a member of a coaching staff that lead the Jennies to the NCAA Division II national semifinals in 2010 and the national quarterfinals in 2011. She joined the staff in 2007 as an assistant coach before she was promoted to Head Assistant Coach in 2009. Prior to joining the staff at Central Missouri, Elder was the interim head coach for the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She joined the Kangaroo staff as a graduate assistant coach in 2005. Elder finished her collegiate playing career at Pittsburg State University, where she also doubled as a student assistant coach for the Gorillas in her senior season. She was an All-American and All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association setter. In 2005, Elder earned her bachelor's degree in recreation and fitness management from Pittsburg State, and in 2008 she went on to earn her master's degree from UMKC.

Coach Elder is four wins away from reaching the 100-win milestone marks. An interim head coach in 2006 at Missouri-Kansas City where she went 7-23, she has garnered 89 wins at UCCS (89-88), including three winning seasons. In seven years as a head coach, Elder has a 96-111 record.
