THIS WEEK
The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team (1-1-1, 0-0 RMAC) enters conference play this week. Homecoming week kicks off the start of league play, with games against Regis University and Colorado School of Mines. These games will be played on Friday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 12 p.m. respectively.

SCOUTING THE RANGERS
Preparing for the league play, the Rangers have gone 1-2 so far this season. Their last game against Metropolitan State University of Denver finished in a 2-1 win. Goals were scored by Freddie Swales and a game winner in the last seconds by Ollie Haines.

SCOUTING THE OREDIGGERS
The Orediggers finished their last non-conference game in fashion with a demanding 6-0 win over Cal State East Bay. It was a great team performance with all the goals being scored by different players. Ford Edwards

LEADERS IN THE RMAC
The Mountain Lions nearly place an athlete on every RMAC top ten offensive category.
Alex VonHolle is sixth with 2.67 shots per game.
Corey Carabajal places ninth with 1.33 points per game and is sixth with one game winning goal. In goal,
Scott Jensen ranks seventh allowing 1.223 goals per game, fifth with a save percentage of .750, and third with four saves per game.
AWARD WINNERS
Senior midfielder Carabajal was voted RMAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week of 9/4 as he recorded two goals, one of them being the game-winner in overtime, and four points In the Mountain Lions' season opener win against Lubbock Christian.
RMAC CONFERENCE OPENERS
Since becoming a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in 1995, the Mountain Lions hold an 11-10-2 record in conference openers.
LAST TIME OUT
The UCCS men's soccer team finished non-conference play with a tough loss at St. Edwards. It was a tough defensive matchup that ended 1-0. Their previous game was a hard-fought tie at #12 St. Mary's. The game ended 2-2 after double overtime.
Sam Bonano and
Jake Demerath notched the two goals.
Scott Jensen was excellent in goal and kept the game level, even though UCCS was out-shot 23-8.

UP NEXT
After two home games to open RMAC play, the Mountain Lions head out on the road to face Dixie State and Westminster. These games will be on Friday, Sep. 21 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sep. 23 at 1 p.m.
