Softball Wins Twice at Adams State on Sunday

The Mountain Lions took three out of four in the series against Adams State

ALAMOSA, Colo. – After taking two more games on Sunday, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs softball team won their series at Adams State with score of 13-4 and 4-1.

The first game saw Whitney Weber drive six runners in while also scoring once as UCCS out-hit the Grizzlies 14 to 4. The senior went 3 of 4 at the plate which included a three-run homer in the second inning.

In the second game, Alex Cook broke a 1-1 tie when she doubled to left field, sending home Taylor Reidhead. Later in the inning, Lexi Anderson singled to allow Cook to come home.

Reidhead was productive in the circle as she won both games for the Mountain Lions, improving her record to 6-7 on the year.

The wins put UCCS at 16-24 overall while improving to 11-17 in the RMAC as they return home this coming weekend when they host Fort Lewis inside Mountain Lion Field.
