DENVER – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's lacrosse team fell 23-6 to No. 11-ranked Regis on the road Saturday.
The nationally-ranked Rangers held UCCS scoreless in the second half after the Mountain Lions trail just 14-6 at halftime.
Natalie Church led the Mountain Lions with three goals as well as a game-high eight draw controls.
Brianna Martinez and
Ellie O'Brien each had two points for UCCS as Martinez had a pair of assists as O'Brien recorded a goal and an assist.
The setback puts the Mountain Lions at 2-5 in the RMAC and 7-8 overall as they return home for Senior Day next Friday when they host Lindenwood at 7 p.m.
