COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's lacrosse team earned their first ever shutout win on Tuesday by defeating Wesminter (Mo.), 20-0.
The overmatched Bluejays, who are a second year Division III program, saw UCCS score 14 goals in the first half en route to the non-conference win.
Heather O'Hern led with six goals as
Mallory Corrigan score four times while assisting on two more as the Mountain Lions climbed back to .500 as they are now 5-5 overall.
On the defensive side,
Ellie O'Brien recorded six caused turnovers, which is a season-high for the junior.
UCCS remains at home when they host Adams State as they resume their conference schedule. Game time against the Grizzlies is set for 5 p.m. inside Mountain Lion Stadium.
