COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs softball team fell twice at home to No. 1-ranked Colorado Mesa on Saturday in RMAC action.
The first game saw the Mavericks score six runs in the top of the first inning before
Taylor Reidhead singled to drive in
Whitney Weber.
However, it was all Mavericks the rest of the way, including five runs in the second innings as they took the game 15-1.
The second game also saw Colorado Mesa dominate at the plate, scoring 17 runs on 16 hits to storm past the Mountain Lions, 17-0.
The two games sets UCCS back to 8-20 overall and 3-13 in conference action. The team hits the road for the next two weekends, starting with a series at Colorado Christian.
