COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's lacrosse team dropped their second RMAC game of the season to Fort Lewis on Saturday, 15-8.
After trailing 5-4 at the break,
Vanessa Nelson tied the game less than two minutes into the second half, but Fort Lewis responded by reeling off nine of the next 10 goals to secure the road win.
Nelson led the Mountain Lions, who slipped to 4-5 and 0-2 in the RMAC, with five goals as well as picking up an assist. The sophomore now has 26 points on the season and leads the team with 24 goals through eight games.
Defensively,

The Mountain Lions will step out of their conference schedule this coming Tuesday when they host Westminster (Mo.), a Division III program, before entertaining Adams State on Thursday and Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday.
