DENVER – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team fell to Regis, 73-69, in overtime on Friday in an RMAC road game.
The Mountain Lions saw 11 players score in the setback with Kelly O'Flanningan,
Chelsea Pearson, and
Lauren Bennett leading the way with nine points each.
UCCS led for the majority of the game until the Rangers' Chante Church tied the game with a free-throw with just nine seconds left in regulation. Church had scored a three-pointer with 17 seconds remaining to make it a one-point ball game.
Regis then held on in overtime as both teams shot 4 of 6 from the field in the extra session. The difference was at the line with Regis going 5 of 6 as UCCS was only 1 of 2 at the charity stripe.
The Mountain Lions slip to 8-10 in the RMAC and 8-15 overall as they visit Chadron State tomorrow evening at 5:30 p.m.
