CHADRON, Neb. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team picked up a 72-53 road win over Chadron State on Saturday.
The 72-point output was a season-high for the Mountain Lions as
Lauren Bennett poured in 17 points, just one point shy of her season-best of 18 points. The junior wen t7 of 8 from the field, including 2 of 3 from beyond the arc and 1 of 1 at the line.
As a team, UCCS shot 42.6 percent from the field while also shooting an effective 40.9 percent from three-point range.
Freshman
Maddie Golla added 12 points in the winning effort after going 4 of 7 from long range.
The win puts the Mountain Lions at 9-9 in the RMAC while improving to 9-14 overall.
UCCS is off for a week until they return home to face MSU Denver next Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
