COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team suffered a 70-57 setback at home to MSU Denver on Saturday night.
The visiting Roadrunners led for most of the game, getting their largest lead of the night with 3:15 remaining when J'nae Squires-Horton hit a jumper to make it a 62-48 advantage. The win split the season series against the two teams as UCCS also earned a road win earlier this season.
The Mountain Lions were led by
Lauren Bennett, who scored 13 points after shooting 50 percent from the field.
Madi Gaibler added eight points for UCCS, who slipped to 9-16 overall and 9-11 in the RMAC. The team is off until Friday when they host Colorado School of Mines at 5:30 p.m.
