COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team suffered an 81-68 setback to the Colorado School of Mines on Friday.
The visiting Orediggers used a 10-2 in the second half to take a commanding 15-point lead. Mines led by as much as 20 points on two occasions down the stretch.
Lauren Bennett and
Shanah Leaf each scored in double digits for the Mountain Lions, scoring 14 and 12 points respectively.
Bennett finished the game going 5 of 9 from the field and 4 of 6 from long range as Leaf was 5 of 11 from the field.
Emily Seifert added eight points while grabbing a team-high five rebounds.
The Mountain Lions slipped to 9-17 overall and 9-12 in the RMAC as they wrap-up the season at home tomorrow night against Colorado Christian at 5:30 p.m.
