COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Playing on their senior night, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team ended the season with a 64-56 win over Colorado Christian.
Trailing by four points with 4:28 remaining in the game, the Mountain Lions went on a 10-0 run which was capped off by a pair of free-throws by
Emily Seifert. The team then put the game away as they finished with an 8-2 as UCCS earned their 10
th win of the campaign.
Lauren Bennett led the team with 18 points as senior
Shanah Leaf added eight points, four rebounds, and an assist.
Tatum Tellin and
Kristen Vigil also notched eight points for the Mountain Lions.
Colorado Christian's Sarah McGinley led with a game-high 20 points as Jordan Baer added 19 points for the Cougars.
The win gives UCCS a record of 10-17 overall and 10-12 in the RMAC.
