Late Regis Run Dooms Men's Basketball

The Mountains Lions fell short as Regis rallied late to take the win on Friday

DENVER – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team suffered a 83-88 setback Friday night against Regis in RMAC action.

The Mountain Lions played with the lead for most of the game until Regis went on an 11-2 run over the final four minutes of the game. UCCS had led by as much as 10 points earlier in the second half.

The duo of Elijah Ross and Dalton Walker paced the team with 14 points as Padiet Wang chipped in 12 points.

Walker shot 5 of 9 from the field as Ross shot 5 of 10 for the Mountain Lions who shot 55.7 percent from the field.

Justin Smith added eight points and eight rebounds for UCCS, as they slipped to 8-10 in the conference and 11-13 overall.

The team travels to take on Chadron State tomorrow night for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
