ALAMOSA, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's lacrosse earned a resounding 16-9 win over Adams State on Sunday in a non-conference meeting.
The Mountain Lions were led by four players who scored three goals, including
Kiera Lowe who tallied five points (3 goals, 2 assists) as well as
Natalie Church (2 goals, 3 assists).
On defense,
Ellie O'Brien paced UCCS with four caused turnovers in addition to picking up six ground balls.
As a team, UCCS pelted the Grizzlies with 40 shots, 35 of which were on goal.
Emma Becker and
Ansleigh White split time in goal, combining for six saves.
The win puts the Mountain Lions at 3-1 as they make their home debut this Thursday when they host Virginia-Wise at 3 p.m. inside Mountain Lion Stadium.
