CANYON, Texas – Playing their final non-conference games of the season, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs softball team went 1-3 in four games at the West Texas Invitational.
After going 0-2 on the first day against Texas A&M International and West Texas A&M, the Mountain Lions picked up a 12-4 win against Texas A&M International on Sunday before falling again to West Texas A&M.
In their win against the Dustdevils, UCCS scored seven runs in the bottom of the fourth inning after trailing 4-0. The scoring was rounded out by a three-run homer by
Kylie Barnard.
Christina Patton earned the win with a 1.1 innings of work as
Taylor Reidhead pitched 3.2 innings, striking out five batters.
The Mountain Lions return home to open their conference schedule when they host Regis next Saturday with games at 12 and 2 p.m.
