COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs baseball team rounded out their weekend with a split against Nebraska-Kearney in non-conference action Sunday.
The Mountain Lions gave up seven runs in the fifth inning of the first game after leading seven to one before falling 10-9 in an eight inning affair. But UCCS rebounded in the second game, when Jeremy Hocmuth hit a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 2-2 stalemate to down the Lopers 6-2.
In the win, Hochmuth hit his first home run which cleared the bases as he now has six RBIs on the year.
Jaeden Hegmann drove in two runs for the Mountain Lions on two hits.

Dagin Renck earned his first win after
Bailey Hansen pitched five innings which included five strikeouts and just two runs on two hits.
???????UCCS, who are now 5-5, travel south next Saturday and Sunday when they visit New Mexico Highlands for a non-conference series.
