ST. GEORGE, Utah – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs softball team wrapped up the Dixie State Easton Classic with a 6-5 win over Dominican (Calif.) on Saturday.
The Mountain Lions used a five-run fifth inning to take the lead after trailing 2-0. After Dominican rallied with two runs in the bottom of the same inning,
Taylor White drove in
Kylie Barnard with a sacrifice fly ball to round out the scoring in the seventh.
Barnard led the team with two runs as White and
Leigh Lancaster each had two RBIs.
Pitcher Cami Duffy notched her fourth win of the season after fanning six batters and walking just one.
The Mountain Lions, who improved to 4-4, continue their road trip as they travel to compete in the West Texas Invitational next Saturday and Sunday.
