DENVER – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team turned in another successful defensive performance to earn a 49-46 road win against MSU Denver on Tuesday.
The Mountain Lions held MSU Denver's field goal shooting to just 29.0 percent and their three-point shooting to a paltry 18.8 percent.
Offensively, the difference came in the first half as UCCS went into the locker room with a mere three-point lead as both teams score 25 points over the final two quarters.
The Mountain Lions saw 10 players scored in the win as
Abby Feickert led the way with nine points. Both
Tatum Tellin and
Madi Gaibler each added seven points.
With the victory, UCCS climbed back to .500 in conference play at 7-7 while improving their overall record to 7-12. The team is now off until Saturday when they travel to Salt Lake City to take on Westminster at 5:30 p.m.
