SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team fell on the road to Westminster, 54-42, on Saturday night in RMAC action.
The Mountain Lions were led by
Shanah Leaf's 12 points after shooting 5 of 10 from the field and 2 of 2 at the free-throw line.
The Griffins used a 14-0 in the first quarter as they never surrendered the lead the rest of the way.
Westminster's Denise Gonzalez led all scorers with 15 points as her teammate Hunter Krebs added 14 points.
The setback puts UCCS at 7-8 in the RMAC and 7-13 overall as they return home next Friday when the Mountain Lions host South Dakota Mines at 5:30 p.m.
