COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Playing in their home opener, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team fell 5-4 in a hard-fought double overtime game to Eastern New Mexico.

The Greyhounds found the back of the net first in the 30^th minute before Jake McAllister scored his first goal of the season 11 minutes later. However, Eastern New Mexico re-took the lead two minutes when Christopher Mesquita headed his shot past UCCS goalkeeper David Meyer.

In the second half, the Greyhounds tacked on two more goals in the 51^st and 62^nd minutes to take a commanding 4-1 lead.

In the 72^nd minute, Blake Barnes opened his account for the season after converting a penalty kick to make it a 4-2 game. Then just six minutes later, Conor Langenhahn found the back of the net after sending home a rebounded shot. Then with less than a minute remaining, McAllister scored off a header to force the extra time.

After a scoreless first 10 minutes of overtime, the Grayhounds found the game-winner at the 107:54 mark with a goal from Nicolai Alstrom to seal the non-conference win.

McAllister finished the night with a game-high seven shots, placing three on target  to go along with his two goals for UCCS. Teammate Blake Barnes also had a busy game he was credited with two assists in addition to his penalty kick goal.

The result puts the Mountain Lions at 0-3-0 to start the year as they are off until Monday when they host Dixie State at 10 a.m. inside Mountain Lion Stadium.
