The Mountain Lions made five shot attempts in the final 20 minutes of the game, but the Mustang defense kept UCCS scoreless while the offense added a second goal with two minutes left in regulation.
UCCS will open the 2017 home season Thursday in a 7 p.m., game against Eastern New Mexico.
