COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 setback at home on Sunday against the Colorado School of Mines in an RMAC match-up.
The visiting Orediggers scored twice in the first half as John Haist netted ninth and 10
th goals in the 23
rd and 44
th minutes. The visitors added a third goal in the 77
th minute to solidify their win.
Jake McAllister led UCCS with two shots, both of which were put on frame.
As a team, the Mountain Lions were outshot 29 to 14 as Colorado Mines held the advantage in shots on goal (10 to 5). UCCS took five corner kicks while holding the Orediggers to just two.
The setback puts UCCS at 2-5-1 overall and 2-1-1 in conference play as they hit the road on Friday to face CSU-Pueblo at 7 p.m.
