HAYS, Kan. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team fell to Fort Hays, 81-51, on the road Friday evening as Maddi Golla led the team with 10 points in the setback.

The homestanding Tigers scored 36 of their points off of 26 turnovers by UCCS, which proved to the be difference in the game.

As a team, the Mountain Lions shot 28.6 percent from the field while going 8 of 27 from long range.

Maria Haas led the visitors with seven boards while adding six points.

Shanah Leaf added seven points.

The setback puts the Mountain Lions at 0-3 as they will look to get into the win column tomorrow afternoon when they face Nebraska-Kearney in a neutral site game at 1 p.m.
