Men's Soccer Drops Regular Season Finale at No.11 Colorado Mines

The Mountain Lions saw their five-game unbeaten streak end, falling to the Orediggers on Saturday

GOLDEN, Colo. – Playing their final game of the regular season, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team fell to No. 11 Colorado Mines on Saturday, 3-0.

The home standing Orediggers used goals from Trevor Amann in the 22nd minute and John Haist in the 34th minute to solidify a lead they would never relinquish. Colorado Mines would add a third goal in the 79th from Ryan Wilson to put the game away.

The UCCS goalkeepers were kept busy as David Meyer subbed in a halftime to make 10 saves after Alex Reichler added a save in the first half.

Individually, Jake McAllister led the Mountain Lions with two shots, placing one on frame.

The result ends the team's five-game unbeaten streak as UCCS (7-8-3, 7-4-3 RMAC) awaits their seeding and opponent in the RMAC conference tournament, which starts on Tuesday.
