Women's Soccer Fall to No.16 Regis, 2-1

The Mountain Lions were unable to get a result against nationally-ranked Regis

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team fell at home to No. 16 Regis, 2-1, in RMAC action Friday evening.

The Mountain Lions got on the board first when Tarah Patterson sent a blast from the left side to the upper right corner in the 22nd minute. Patterson now leads the team with 11 points (5 goals, 1 assists).

The nationally-ranked Rangers responded 11 minutes later when Cate Parchinski notched her third goal of the season after weaving through several defenders before sending her shot just inside the right post.

After going into halftime tied, Regis found the game-winner in the 63rd minute when Keegan Storlie netter her first goal of the season off a rebounded shot.

Patterson led the Mountain Lions with four shots as Anna Gregg added two shots.

In goal, Taylor Proctor took the setback after making three saves.

With the result, the team fell to 9-4-0 overall and 7-2-0 in conference play.

The loss snaps a five-game winning streak for UCCS, who wrap up their home schedule on Sunday when they host MSU Denver at noon.
