DENVER – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team fell to RMAC foes MSU Denver, 2-0, on the road Friday evening.
The Roadrunners scored in the 39
th minute when Nils Runnberg netted his sixth goal of the season off a cross by Teo Jukic.
MSU Denver added their second goal of the game in the 81
st minute when Dylan Wood found the back of the net off an assist from Lorenzo Rodriguez.
For the Mountain Lions,
Alex VonHolle led the team with five shots, putting two on frame.
Luke White added two shots, including one shot on goal.
David Meyer took the loss in goal after making three saves while facing a total of 10 shots.
The setback puts UCCS at 4-7-2 overall while slipping to 4-3-2 in conference action. The Mountain Lions are back in action this coming Sunday when they visit Colorado Christian at 2:30 p.m.
