ALAMOSA, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team pitched their third shutout of the season as they defeated Adams State on the road Sunday, 5-0.
The Mountain Lions were led
Anna Gregg who notched a pair of goals in the 16
th and 68
th minutes. Gregg is now tied for second on the team with seven points (3 goals, 1 assist).
Bailee Jameson started the scoring for UCCS in the 9
th minute off an assist from
Hanna Parado, who also scored with three minutes remaining in the first half.
Lo Vyvlecka got in on the action, sending a rebounded shot in the 49
th minute, her first of the season.
Goalkeepers
Taylor Proctor and Grace Ramseden shared the shutout as they each played 45 minutes, combining to make three saves in the win.
As a team, the Mountain Lions outshot Adams State 25 to 3. A total of 18 of those shots were put on frame.
The result puts UCCS at 6-3-0 overall and 4-1-0 in RMAC action. The team, who have won six of their last seven, return home next Sunday when they host Western State inside Mountain Lion Stadium. Game time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
