COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team earned their second shutout of the week as they edged Western State, 1-0, at home on Sunday.

Ella Fischer scored her first goal of the season after finding the ball in from of goal off a feed from
Tori Maydew on the right side.
The Mountain Lions, who have won three straight, led in shots (20 to 12), shots on goal (6 to 4), and corner kicks (6 to 1).
Individually,
Tarah Patterson led with two shots on goal as
Bailee Jameson had four total shots.
In goal,
Taylor Proctor earned the shutout win with four saves in the game.
UCCS improves to 7-3-0 overall and 5-1-0 in the RMAC as they travel north to take on Colorado Mines in Golden this coming Friday at 7:30 p.m.
