Men's Soccer Drop Road Game at Fort Lewis

The visiting Mountain Lions fell, 1-0, on the road to Fort Lewis on Sunday

DURANGO, Colo. – A goal in the second minute of the game is all it took as Fort Lewis edged the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team on Sunday.

The Skyhawks' Landon Gibson netted the lone goal of the game, and third of the season, on a cross from Ryan Lee, sending his shot from seven yards out to the back of the net.

The Mountain Lions were outshot 12 to 11, but held the advantage in shots on goal (6 to 4) and corner kicks (12 to 2).

Individually, Jake McAllister led the team with a game-high four shots and one shot on goal.

In goal, David Meyer took the loss with three saves for UCCS.

The setback puts the Mountain Lions at 2-6-2 overall and evens their conference record at 2-2-2. UCCS is back in action Friday when they travel to Salt Lake City to face Westminster at 12:30 p.m.
