GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 setback on the road Friday evening against Colorado Mesa.
The home standing Mavericks picked up the game-winner in the 33
rd minute when Amanda Wenzel scored her second goal of the season.
UCCS was led on offense by
Jess Freeze, who recorded two shots, including one shot on goal.
Grace Ramsden made seven saves for the Mountain Lions, who slipped to 1-5 overall and 1-1 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.
The Mountain Lions will look to rebound on Sunday when they wrap-up their road swing at Westminster at noon.
