Second Half Goals Send Colorado Mines Past Men's Soccer

The visiting Mountain Lions fell, 4-1, to Colorado Mines in RMAC action Friday evening

GOLDEN, Colo. – Playing their first conference road game of the season, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team fell 4-1 to Colorado Mines.

After trailing 2-0 at halftime, Conor Langenbahn got one back in the 52nd minute to put UCCS back in the game. The goal was the junior's first of the season and now has three points (1 goal, 1 assist) on the year.

Just 11 minutes later, the Orediggers' Trevor Amann scored his third goal of the game to make it a 3-1 lead after heading home a cross. Seven minutes later, Colorado Mines put the game away with their fourth goal when David Boldt sent a rebounded shot to the back of the net.

UCCS managed to put up 14 shots to the Orediggers' 17 shots while placing five shots on goal to their nine.

Scott Jansen was credited with five saves in the loss as the Mountain Lions slip to 2-4-1 overall and 1-2 in the RMAC.

Up top, senior Cort Searls paced the Mountain Lions with five shots, putting one on frame.

UCCS is back in action on Sunday when they travel to Colorado Christian for a game slated for noon.
