DENVER – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision on the road at Regis on Sunday.
Senior forward
Michaela Mansfield netted her 10
th goal of the season less than three minutes into the game, giving the visiting Mountain Lions a quick 1-0 advantage.
The Rangers equalized in the 17
th minute when Sade Akindele sent home her shot off of a cross, her fifth of the season.
The teams were scoreless until the 67
th minute when Regis' Sofia Garcia gave the Rangers the lead before tacking on goals from Mickie Piechowski (75
th minute) and Annika Hills (88
th minute).
For UCCS,
Megan O'Driscoll led the team with four shots as Mansfield placed both of her two shots on goal.
Grace Ramsden was credited with seven saves in the loss.
The Mountain Lions, who wrapped up their road schedule for the season, slipped to 2-11-1 overall and 2-7-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
The team is back in action at home this coming Friday, Oct. 28
