The Cougars scored six straight points early in the second set and didn't trail again in the set to even the match on a 25-20 decision.

The Mountain Lions scored six straight in the third set, with three kills from Hamilton during the run, to build a 10-3 lead against Colorado Christian. Hamilton finished with six in the set and Grace Nelson added five more as UCCS never trailed in the set to take a 25-15 victory. The Mountain Lions used another early rally in the fourth set to double the Cougars at 10-5, but Christian narrowed it down to a two-point contest at 23-21.
