COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team fell at home, 2-0, Sunday afternoon to Adams State in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action.
The home-standing Mountain Lions kept the game scoreless until the 59
th minute when Lacey Daniel scored off of a corner kick from Shelby McBain. The goal was Daniel's fourth of the season.
Adams State solidified their result in the 80
th minute when Hope Cruz one-timed her shot in front of goal off of a pass from the left side by Abbey Rasmussen.
For UCCS,
Michaela Mansfield led the team with a total of seven shots, placing three on goal.
Grace Ramsden totaled seven saves for the Mountain Lions, who dropped to 1-8 on the year and 1-4 in the RMAC.
As a team, the Mountain Lions put up 18 shots while holding the visitors to 15 total shots as both teams placed 10 of their shots on frame.
The team will look to rebound next Sunday when they travel to take on Western State in Gunnison, Colo. at 1 p.m.
