COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team fell at home Friday evening to No. 3 Colorado Mines, 6-1, in RMAC action.
The visiting Orediggers got on the board first when Taylor McRae slotted home her shot in the 12
th minute of play. Mines would score six straight before UCCS could stop the bleeding.
For the Mountain Lions,
Michaela Mansfield got one back with less than six minutes left in the game when she sent a quick strike from the far right side to the inside of the left post, notching her seventh goal of the campaign.
Mansfield, along with
Bailee Jameson each put up three shots for the Mountain Lions, who dropped to 2-9 overall and 2-5 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.
The team will look to bounce back on Sunday when they host Colorado Christian at home at 2:30 p.m.
