COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –
Tori Fisher finished one rebound shy of the double-double with a game-high 22 points as the University of Colorado Colorado Springs overcame a 12-point halftime deficit for a 67-62 win against California State-East Bay tonight in the Gallogly Events Center. The Mountain Lions (2-1) made 14 steals and forced 21 turnovers against the Pioneers (2-1).

Kelly O'Flannigan and Jennah Kanfelc earned their first collegiate starts as UCCS shifted its lineup.
UCCS and East Bay both made six field goals in the first quarter, and the Mountain Lions doubled-up the Pioneers from the three-point line with a pair from Knafelc. East Bay made up the difference with five made free throws, more than UCCS attempted in the quarter, for the 19-17 lead after the first 10 minutes.
The Pioneers continued strong shooting in the second quarter and outscored the Mountain Lions by 10, 21-11, to build a 40-28 halftime lead.
Tori Fisher scored six points in the quarter, with four in transition, and Knafelc added another three-pointer to lead the Mountain Lions with nine points at intermission.
UCCS opened the second half with a 7-1 run to cut the 12-point deficit down to six points at 41-35. The Mountain Lion defense held East Bay to a single field goal for the first six minutes of the quarter and
Jen Vigil's three-pointer with 1:38 left in the period brought UCCS within two points at 49-47. East Bay pushed the lead back to four points with a free throw in the final seconds for a 51-47 lead after the quarter.
Gabby Ramirez opened the fourth quarter with a layup, and drew the foul to reach the free throw line and completed the three-point play to pull UCCS within a point at 51-50. The Mountain Lions took their first lead since the early minutes of the game with a layup from Vigil with 7:42 to play for a 54-53 advantage. UCCS never trailed the rest of the night and kept East Bay scoreless for the final 97 seconds of the game to secure the comeback win tonight.
Fisher went 10-of-21 from the field in her first 20-point game of her career and her most points since 18 in her freshman season. Kanfelc finished with 17 points with 15 points off of three-pointers.
Shannon Kelly added another 10 points with a game-high five assists and made two steals while Vigil made six of the team's 14 steals.
UCCS will remain at home for a 7:30 p.m., game on Saturday against Northern State. The Wolves (3-1) defeated MSU Denver 75-53 earlier tonight.
