Box Score BETHANY, Okla. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs scored four times, with three in the final 16 minutes, to claim a 4-0 shutout of Southern Nazarene on the road this afternoon. The Mountain Lions (1-2-1) allowed only two shots throughout the game with nine on goal against the Crimson Storm (1-4).
The four goals were the best road performance since a 6-2 victory at Colorado Christian on Oct. 19, 2012. It's also the most goals scored in a single game before Sept. 15 since a 4-1 win against Sioux Falls on Sept. 9, 2011.
Roberts header goal in the 52nd minute off the cross from
Luke Chapman was his fifth game-winning goal of his career, which moved him into a tie for seventh in UCCS records. The goal was also the 13th of his career, which puts him two away from entering the top-10 records.

Mathew Cox each scored their first goals of the season in a span of 13 minutes near the end of the game. Jake Berntsson provided the assists in the goals for McAllister and Cox and moved into a tie for first for total assists in the RMAC this season.
David Meyer earned the shutout in his first collegiate start and anchored a defense that allowed only two shots in the game. UCCS out-shot the Storm 20-2 and held a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks through 90 minutes.
The Mountain Lions begin the RMAC season at home on Friday against No. 15 Metro State. The game kicks off at 5 p.m., at Mountain Lion Stadium.
