Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The No. 9 University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team broke the victory margin record for the second time this season and scored the most points in regulation in program history in a 112-55 victory tonight against Johnson & Wales. The Mountain Lions (6-0) earned double-digit points from eight student-athletes tonight.
The 57-point margin of victory surpassed the 46-point win against Northern New Mexico on Nov. 21 earlier this season. The 112 points was second in overall records behind 118 points in a four-overtime game against Western State on Feb. 25, 2000.
Junior guard
Derrick White led UCCS with 17 points on seven-of-eight shooting from the field along with five assists.
TreShawn Wilford record a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 10 assists, and added a game-high five steals on defense.
Tim Haas led the bench with 12 points and a career-high two blocked shots.
Every Mountain Lion who played recorded a rebound, led by five from Wilford and
Kendall Godley. UCCS shot 55.7 percent from the field for the fifth straight game with shooting of 50 percent or better.
The Mountain Lions will take their first 6-0 start in program history in the RMAC season that begins at home on Friday against Fort Lewis at 7:30 p.m. The Skyhawks (5-1) are coming off their only loss of the season to UC San Diego on Saturday.
