UCCS Moves to 2-0 for Third Straight Season

PUEBLO, Colo. - University of Colorado Colorado Springs senior forward Agnes Arnadottir moved into a tie for first in career goals to lead the Mountain Lions (2-0) to a 4-2 victory against East Central (0-2) today at the Rawlings Soccer Complex.

Arnadottir scored her 18th career goal in the 14th minute off a pass from Taylor Braden to move into a tie in career records with Kristen Preble. Arnadottir also has 44 career points, good for third in program records and is one shy of Preble's mark from 2008-11.

Hannah Levett scored her second goal of the season in the 31st minute to provide UCCS a 2-0 lead by halftime. Her shot beat the goalkeeper in the left corner after Michaela Mansfield's pass.

Brooke Tominello finished with a goal in the 61st minute on a pass from Lindsey Birdseye, and combined with Mansfield for the assist on Jesse Freeze's goal in the 73rd minute. East Central scored both of its goals in the second half, with the final goal coming in the last four minutes of the game.

UCCS is starting the season 2-0 for the third straight season and the fourth time in the six-year history of the program. The four goals today ties for the third-most in a single game and the five assists ties for second in program history.
