COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The No. 17 University of Colorado Colorado Springs (6-1, 3-1 RMAC) forced its first overtime game of the season before suffering its first loss to undefeated No. 13 Colorado School of Mines (7-0-1, 4-0 RMAC).
It was a defensive battle at Mountain Lion Stadium today as 90 minutes of regulation play wasn't enough to put a score on the board for either team. The Orediggers outshot the Mountain Lions 21-7 in regulation. Mines added another three shots in overtime before senior forward Anna Evans notched the game winning goal unassisted in the 95th minute.Â
Senior goalkeeper
Kelly Schroeder made a season-high 13 saves in today's game before conceding the game-winning goal.Â
The Mountain Lions will return to action on Friday, Oct. 4 when they host Regis University (2-3-1, 0-2-1 RMAC). Game time is set for 5 p.m.Â
