COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The No. 17 University of Colorado Colorado Springs (6-0, 3-0 RMAC) women's soccer team kept its perfect season alive in a 2-0 win against Colorado Christian (4-3, 1-2 RMAC) tonight at Mountain Lion Stadium. 

UCCS controlled the play for most of the game. The Mountain Lions outshot the Cougars 27-8, placing 13 attempts on frame. 

Senior forward Agnes Arnadottir scored her fifth goal of the season to earn the game-winner for UCCS. The goal came at the 34:02 minute mark when Hannah Rather forced a turnover to earn a UCCS corner kick. Senior defender Kia Jeffords took the corner, sailing a well placed ball in the box to earn the assist as Arnadottir found the back of the net on a header. 

Just minutes after entering the game in the 42:00 minute, redshirted freshman Michaela Mansfield scored her first collegiate goal. With a pair of assists recorded in earlier games, Mansfield now has four points this season.

Voted this week's RMAC Defensive Player of the Week, senior goalkeeper Kelly Schroeder stayed perfect yet again. She made four saves in tonight's match and earned her fifth shutout in six games played. The Mountain Lion defense only allowed eight shots from a CCU offense that is ranked No. 11 in the nation. 

With tonight's win, UCCS moves to 7-2-0 all-time against Colorado Christian. The two teams will meet again on Oct. 22 when the Mountain Lions travel to Lakewood, Colo., for a rematch. 

UCCS will have three days of rest to prepare for their biggest match to date this season. The No. 17 Mountain Lions will play host to unbeaten and nationally ranked No. 13 Colorado Mines (5-0-1, 2-0 RMAC) Sunday at Mountain Lion Stadium.
