ALAMOSA, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs Mountain Lions (2-4-2 / 1-3-2) suffered their second loss of the weekend falling to Adams State (5-4 / 3-3 RMAC) by the score of 1-0 at the ASU Soccer Field.
Late in the game it looked as if UCCS was heading for another RMAC tie on the road. The result of a road tie is not uncommon for UCCS this season as the team has seen both of its two road games thus far end in ties by the score of 0-0 at Metro State and 1-1 at Colorado Mesa.
Unfortunately it was not to be this time around.
The Grizzlies found the back of the net after more than 80 minutes of scoreless play to go ahead 1-0 and grab a crucial home victory against the Mountain Lions.
Aaron Fox scored the goal off an assist from Fabian Omaha-Marin. It was Fox's first goal of the season.
Costa took the loss in net for UCCS despite only allowing the single goal late in the game. The senior now stands at 2-3-2 on the season.
Up Next: The Mountain Lions have a quick turnaround before their next game with CSU-Pueblo coming to town this Wednesday for a rare midweek match up set for 7 p.m.
