GOLDEN, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (4-6-3 / 3-5-3 RMAC) took a hard-hitting loss on the road Wednesday night at Colorado School of Mines (10-3-1 / 8-3-0) by the final score of 0-5 at CSM Soccer Stadium.
Things went the Orediggers way early and often as they scored three goals in the first 25 minutes of play. Seun Ogunmodede found net in the 5th minute while Joe Haines got on the board in the 10th minute to make things 2-0 in a hurry.
The Mountain Lions didn't help themselves out later in the first-half when UCCS goalkeeper
Brandon Costa was the victim of an own goal in the 25th minute. At that point
Peter Vogrin entered the game at keeper for UCCS and finished out the remainder of the match.
The second-half was more of the same with Baski Baker and Allan Foster adding goals in the 63rd and 78th minute respectively.
UCCS managed four total shots on goal led by
Austin Bell who had two on the night.
Up Next: The Mountain Lions will stay on the road when they travel to Denver this Friday to take on Regis University at the Regis Soccer Field. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
