DENVER, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (4-7-3 / 3-6-3 RMAC) was shutout for the second time in as many games in their 0-2 loss against Regis University (10-2-1 / 9-2-1 RMAC) Friday afternoon at Regis Match Pitch.
The Mountain Lions were not credited with a shot on goal in the match and could never put together a real threatening run, leaving Regis goalkeeper Connor Adkisson relatively uninvolved the entire match.
Brandon Costa on the other hand collected three saves while allowing two goals during his 90 minutes of action. Â
The Rangers two goals in the game came from Martin Maybin with one coming in the 27th minute assisted by Brian Strasbaugh and Mark Kelly and the other coming in the 66th minute unassisted.
The UCCS loss mixed with an Adams State tie today at Colorado Christian means the Mountain Lions trail the Grizzles by one point in the RMAC standings 13 to 12 for the sixth and final RMAC playoff spot. Â
Up Next: UCCS is set to take on Colorado Christian (3-11-1 / 2-8-1 RMAC) at home on 1 November, 2013. It will be the last home game for this year's senior class. Match time is set for 7:30 p.m.
