COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs recorded the first two shots of the game, including a shot by
Brett Drefs that hit the crossbar, but Metro State's three goals in the first half was enough in a 3-0 decision today at Mountain Lion Stadium.
The game was the first for the Mountain Lions in 11 days and the first of the 2012 RMAC season. Metro State evened its conference record after dropping its conference opener last Friday in Denver.
UCCS carried a balanced offense throughout the duration of the match with six student-athletes recording the 10 shots for the game. Metro State scored its three goals within a 17-minute span in the first half.
Up Next: The Mountain Lions will travel for a 2 p.m. game at Regis on Sept. 21. The Rangers are 3-0-1 and 1-0 in the RMAC going into today's 3:30 p.m. contest with Colorado State-Pueblo.
