COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (9-8-1) won its first men's soccer playoff game since 1998 and advanced to the RMAC Semifinals with a 1-0 victory tonight against Colorado Mesa (8-7-4) at Mountain Lion Stadium. It's the first appearance for the Mountain Lions in the conference semifinals since 2001.
UCCS controlled the offensive tempo early with a shot off the opening kickoff and corner kick opportunity in the fifth minute.

The win sets UCCS up to avenge another 1-0 loss of the season on Friday afternoon with the nation's top-ranked team Regis. It's the sixth time the Mountain Lions will play in the conference semifinals and the first time since the tournament expanded to six teams in 2009.
