GOLDEN, Colo. - Agnes Arnadottir scored in her fifth consecutive game and broke the program season points record to lead No. 18 University of Colorado Colorado Springs (13-2-2 / 9-2-2 RMAC) to an early lead, but Colorado Mines (12-4-1 / 9-3-1 RMAC) answered back as the teams finished in a 2-2 tie this afternoon in Golden. The decision keeps the Mountain Lions in second in the RMAC standings going into Sunday's regular season finale.

The Mountain Lions continue to maintain a one-point lead against the Orediggers for second place and the first-round bye that the No. 2 seed would carry.

UCCS scored in the 20th minute minute when Arnadottir found the net off a pass from Hannah Levett. Colorado Mines answered with a game-tying goal in the 32nd minute and the Mountain Lions took the lead off a misdirected header by the Orediggers for an own goal. Kelly Schroeder made six saves for UCCS in the opening half.

Mines tied the game in the 51st minute. Schroeder made three more saves throughout the to half keep the nationally-ranked Oredigger offense off the board as the teams battled to the end of regulation.

Both teams managed two shots in the extra overtime periods, and UCCS had one of the shots on target, as the game ended in the second tie of the season for the Mountain Lions.

Arnadottir's goal moved her into first in UCCS program season points record with 25, surpassing Julia Saenz's 24 points in 2010. She also tied the season goals record with Kristen Preble's nine goals from 2010.

UCCS continues to control its own destiny for a first-round bye in next week's conference tournament. A win on Sunday at Metro State would secure a spot, and if the win was coupled with a loss by Regis to Fort Lewis, it would secure the first RMAC championship in program history. The Rangers won today 3-1 at Adams State and hold a two-point lead for the conference standings.
