Levett Leads Offensive Second Half in 3-1 Victory Against ThunderWolves

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Hannah Levett scored twice and Agnes Arnadottir added a goal within an eight-minute span to lead the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team (11-2-1 / 7-2-1 RMAC) to a 3-1 victory today at Mountain Lion Stadium and a sweep of Colorado State-Pueblo (1-11-1 / 1-9 RMAC) overall in the season.

The win improves the point total for UCCS in the Steel and Silver Series to 10-0. Points have come this season from men's and women's basketball and volleyball, with the cross country scores to be calculated into the competition cup this weekend.

The ThunderWolves scored first and kept it a 1-0 game at halftime, despite the Mountain Lions seven-to-two shot advantage.

Arnadottir and Ashley Hooper moved along the near sideline, and a cross by Hooper set up a header shot for Levett in front of the goal to tie the game in the 63rd minute. Four minutes later, Levett scored her second goal of the game off a rebound to provide the first Mountain Lion lead of the game. Arnadottir finished the scoring in the 71st minute with his sixth goal of the season.

The win put UCCS in a three-way tie for first in the RMAC standings with four games remaining in the regular season. The Mountain Lions are tied with Metro State, who lost today to New Mexico Highlands, and with Regis, who won today against Colorado Christian.

With the goal and and two assists, Arnadottir moved into third place on the career points list with 32 points.

Up Next: The Mountain Lions start a four-game road trip to end the regular season on Friday at 3:30 pm in Lakewood, Colo., to take on Colorado Christian. A win would clinch a spot in the RMAC tournament for UCCS.
